The Swedish Consumer Agency warns of fraudulent calls from people claiming to be calling from the authority.
The authority has noticed an increase in calls from private individuals – who want to check whether the fraudulent calls they receive are from the Swedish Consumer Agency.
The content of the fraudulent calls may look different according to the authority. Generally, the fraudster offers some type of help – which requires the private person to hand over bank details or identify themselves with a bank ID.
