The Swedish Competition Authority reviews food prices | SVT News

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The Swedish Competition Authority has started a new review and will sound the alarm if there are actors who raise food prices by an unjustified amount. That’s what Dagens industri writes.

The company’s director general Rikard Jermsten was questioned on Thursday in the Riksdag’s business committee and said then that the company had not found any signs that competition had been put out of action in the wholesale sector, but that it should be examined more.

He also predicted that food prices will continue to rise because there are costs that have yet to be passed through at all levels.
