    Attempted murder in four cases

On Sunday, the public prosecutor changed the classification to four attempted murders. Previously, the case concerned two cases of attempted murder and two cases of aggravated assault.

Three elderly women and a teenage boy were injured in the attacks. The condition of one of the women is said to be serious, but stable.

According to the prosecutor, two of the victims are still in hospital, one of them is the boy.

Was under the influence of drugs at the time of arrest

In connection with the arrest, the suspect was shot, but he was able to leave the hospital on Sunday. The man left with arrestingly positive drug tests, he had benzodiazepines and amphetamines in his body.

On Saturday, a first brief interrogation was held, but then the suspect was in a bad condition. He was tired and dazed, his lawyer Mats Vannefjord said at the time, referring to the gunshot wound and medication.

During Monday’s hearing in Västmanland district court, the 33-year-old was wheeled into a wheelchair. He disputed the arrest and denied that he wanted to kill anyone.

The court remanded the 33-year-old suspect on probable cause for four counts of attempted murder. A decision was also made to conduct a forensic psychiatric examination of the man, a so-called Section 7 examination.

Charges must be filed by May 20 at the latest.
