The battle between TPS and Nokian KrP for the championship will have at least its sixth victory. TPS defender Olli Laine took the decider behind the superstar players.
In the floor bandy men’s F-league, the supporters of Nokian KrP were waiting for the championship celebration on Sunday. However, the other side of the final, TPS, extended the series in the 5th match by defeating Nokia 6–3 in Tampere.
A sport legend yearning for his first championship Henri Johansson tapped Nokian KrP into the lead at the beginning of the match, but after that TPS successfully took the place of the coach. The power player of TPS was the defender who scored 2+1 Olli Laine.
– We knew what kind of roster we have. However, such a presentation has only taken its time. We were on our level today.
TPS won the opening game of the final series, after which Nokia won three matches in a row. In terms of gameplay, the matches have been very even.
The championship would be the first for both teams.
– We will continue in Turku. Nothing has changed, Laine stated.
Depth behind star players
The star player is usually responsible for the effects of TPS Miko Kailiala and ending his career this season Mikko Hautaniemi. However, depth players like Laine are needed in the playoffs.
– Of course it’s nice to succeed. It doesn’t help to deny it. I enjoy being on the pitch and I do everything I can to make the team win.
In the middle of the third period, TPS’s star player Kailiala, who came from the bench to the field, got through alone and dunked the ball Miro Tuomaalan to guard the goal.
However, the situation was replayed for a long time, but in the end the goal was accepted.
The final series continues on Wednesday in Turku. If there is no solution there either, the decisive final match is ahead on Friday.
