The superstar Richard Gynge’s completely unexpected club choice – returns after 10 years for games in the Hockeyallsvenskan (!)

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

48 points in 52 SHL games last season.
Then Richard Gynge chooses to move down in the series systems.
According to Expressen, there will be games in the Hockeyallsvenskan for the star next season.

Richard Gynge was one of Växjö Lakers’ key players last season and the veteran accounted for a full 48 points in 52 games in the regular season. And the fact is that Gynge has actually never had a better season in the SHL in terms of points before.

Left Växjö

Gynge was also prominent in the playoffs, where there was a draw for Växjö in the quarter finals against Frölunda. But Gynge still accounted for seven points in the four matches he played, and it was therefore a little surprising that it was clear in May that he will leave the club.

Since then, there has been silence about the star’s future club, but immediately rumors came that AIK would be interested, something he then confirmed to Smålandsposten.

– There is an interest from AIK to get me there, it does. That would be a fun option.

Unexpected club choice

Richard Gynge belonged to AIK ten years ago, and has since played in the KHL and SHL. But now it is clear that it will be a slightly sensational return to the capital. According to Expressen, everything is ready for a return to AIK next season.

AIK has been calm with transfers so far – unlike local rival Djurgården, who left the SHL but is now investing heavily to get back immediately. Players such as Marcus Krüger and Daniel Brodin have already been recruited. But now AIK hopes to be able to challenge as well, with one of the heaviest signings of the year in the series.
