Don’t expect a heat wave until midsummer. But hopefully most of the rain and thunder have moved on when the herring is presented.
– We are in a period where the low pressure dictates a little, it is unstable with rain showers and thunderstorms that appear in the afternoons. It looks to be a bit the same for the rest of the week, says Therese Fougman, meteorologist at SMHI.
As we move into next week, temperatures should rise slightly, although it will continue to be unsettled.
– Towards the end of next week, towards midsummer, it still looks like there might be a slight stabilisation. But the prognosis is very uncertain, says Fougman.
But as it looks right now, it seems to be sunny in many parts of the country by midsummer.
– There will probably also be rain showers here and there, but not as generally as now, but more patchy. Where, however, is hard to say.
The forecast indicates that temperatures will be around 20 degrees throughout the next week, even on Midsummer’s Eve.
– It doesn’t look like there will be a heat wave right away, but it’s more like a Swedish summer in June, says Therese Fougman.
