Sommartorgen will offer visitors free activities and stage performances. The activities are arranged by associations and municipal activities, among others.
– Many may not have the opportunity to get going in any way and we want that when the young people come back to school it should have had a good summer holiday, says Stefan Zumaeta.
Millions for holiday activities
Summer squares will be located in Fröslunda, Skiftinge, Nyfors, Årby and Torshälla. There will also be activities on Fristadstorget and Östra torget.
In total, Eskilstuna municipality spends SEK 4.6 million on a number of activities during the summer holidays, of which the summer squares are a part.
