The Sudan Army says he has taken control of Khartum, the capital of the Presidential Palace, AP reports.
The palace has been the last fort in the rebels in Khartum.
The RFS troops fighting against the government have not confirmed the loss of the palace control.
In Sudan, northeastern Africa, government troops and rebels have been fighting the country for almost two years. More than 28,000 people have died in the war and millions have had to leave their homes.
