The end-of-year holidays have obviously been fruitful for Capcom and its Resident Evil 4 Remake. In a tweet posted a few hours ago, we learned that the game has crossed the threshold of 9 million copies sold worldwide, since its release in March 2023. We might as well tell you that the license is doing well, especially this episode in particular which holds a very important part in the hearts of fans of the series. It must be said that the launch was thunderous, since 3 million copies were sold in the first days, but the title became a long-seller since 9 million were made in less than two years. Capcom therefore came up with a message and a pretty drawing to announce the good news and thanks its community for the support. A ninth episode is currently in development and Koshi Nakanishi, the game director of Resident Evil 7, is behind the project.
