The students concern after Toves disappearance Many are sad

Published: Less than 20 min ago

Tove, 21, disappeared in Vetlanda eleven days ago.

At the school where she works, her students are now worried about what might have happened.

– Many have been sad in the class, says 11-year-old student Elsa.

During the autumn, Tove, 21, worked at a school in Vetlanda.

After she was reported missing on October 16, the school has been sorely missed by the students.

Two of those who have her as a teacher are Elsa, 11, and Nella, 10.

– She is a very happy and kind teacher, says Nella.

– She is very funny. She doesn’t mind if you joke with her and you can have a fun conversation with her, says Elsa.

Worried about what might have happened

The students were notified of the disappearance at the beginning of last week. Now they hope that nothing serious has happened.

– Many have been sad. They informed about what had happened and we have talked about it in class. It feels quite difficult that no one knows what has happened, says Elsa.

– I hope she will come back soon, says Nella.

The students’ parents have also been informed of what has happened.

– An information email has been sent to us. The school has also informed the students that the development talks have been postponed, says Elsa’s father Karl Oskar.

The police are asking for tips

Several major search efforts have been underway in Vetlanda since Tove disappeared. On Friday, the police ended their major search operation, but they are still continuing to search in some parts of the area.

– We still have point operations, and you can still see police officers and dogs that are out in Vetlanda, says Rickard Finndahl, head of the police’s serious crime department.

The police are now asking for observations about Tove’s bike and surveillance footage that may be of interest.

– For example, if you have a surveillance camera and see that it filmed something interesting between Saturday and Sunday, you should contact the police, says Rickard Finndahl.

He also urges Vetland residents to be extra vigilant.

– If, for example, you notice something that stands out, such as clothes and things, when you are out, you should contact the police, he says.
