The stud manager apologizes after the play – and harsh words to Frida Karlsson: “Frida became sad”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

There was a big conflict after the ladies’ relay.
Between the Swedish riders and the own team.
Now the dam manager Petter Myhlback is coming out and apologizing for the harsh words.

Sweden was the big favorite in the women’s WC relay in Planica. But on the third stretch the hope for gold died after that Frida Karlsson lost far too much against Norwegian Ingvild Flugstad Östberg.

The herd criticism

Norway won the WC gold and Sweden had to settle for WC bronze in the relay. The postgame was then mostly about the Swedish skis and a clear conflict arose between the Swedish skiers and the blue-yellow fence team.

There, above all, Karlsson claimed that the herding was not at all as good as Norway’s, while the Swedish herding manager Petter Myhlback quickly went out and shot it down by claiming that the Swedes had very good skis today.

The stud manager admits that he regrets his statements, where he said, among other things, that Karlsson looked tired and did not push properly.
– Of course I regret them. I can see that Frida is sad afterwards, I regret it very much and have apologized for those statements. It got a bit messy and I think the reason is that Frida and I don’t talk after the finish line. I go straight into the mixed zone and have an image that doesn’t match Frida’s. When we get to talk, everything becomes clear and we have a great dialogue about what happened yesterday, he says in an interview with Viaplay, see it below.

The words to Frida

The Swedish national ski team had crisis talks with the skiers and the piste team to resolve the conflict on Thursday evening.
– We concluded that her feeling that she has bad skis is of course correct. If she says so, so be it. We had a good chat with the whole girl group. When it gets as messy as it was, it affects the whole team. We always have a dialogue and I think we came a long way yesterday, says Myhlback in the interview, see it below.

The Swedish dam manager reveals that the relationship between the riders and the dams is good, but that he and Frida Karlsson have little to work on in the future.
– The trust between the riders and the herding team is great. Frida and I have a relationship journey to make and it is well on its way to being great, he says to the TV channel, see the video below.
