Gustaf Skarsgård plays the priest Læstadius who, together with the Sami boy Jussi, played by Emil Ráste Kárlsen, investigates a mysterious death. The scenes recorded in Rismyrliden are supposed to represent Kengis in Tornedalen in 1852.
