“Sweden is a pioneer in terms of HIV prevention. But there are still several areas for improvement, not least in terms of equality and ensuring that health promotion and prevention work reaches all target groups who are particularly at risk for HIV infection,” said Minister of Social Affairs Lena Hallengren (S) in a press release .
Among other things, FHM will point out any changes that have taken place since the strategy was last revised in 2017. The assignment must be reported no later than 30 April 2023.
FHM is also commissioned to distribute “an additional SEK 24 million in grants to non-profit organizations whose activities are focused on HIV / AIDS and certain other infectious diseases” whose work has been negatively affected by the pandemic.
