Amounts of blown down trees with, among other things, power outages as a result.

The strong gale-force winds have caused a lot of trouble in eastern Götaland during the day, but an improvement is expected during the evening.

SMHI issued a yellow warning due to strong gale-force winds in northeastern Götaland and southern Närke during Sunday afternoon.

However, the warning will be removed in the evening.

– It will subside during the evening. The low pressure, which makes it windy, is heading east and in Svealand and southern Norrland it will increase during the evening and night. Over Gotland, for example, it will be quite windy tonight. But then it will slowly decrease there too, says SMHI meteorologist Emma Rosengren to TT.

During Sunday, many alarms were received about, among other things, blown down trees blocking roads to the rescue services in, among other places, eastern Götaland. Power outages followed suit, but none more extensive.

– Until tomorrow we expect much calmer weather. It looks to be much more stable, says Emma Rosengren.
