  • Surfer killed by swordfish

    Italian surfer Giulia Manfrini, 36, was surfing off the Indonesian island of Siberut when she was injured by a swordfish on the left side of her chest, CNN reports.

    Two people were near Manfrini when the accident happened and rushed her to hospital, but her life could not be saved.

    “Despite the brave efforts of her partner, local staff and doctors, Giulia could not be saved. We think she died doing what she loved, in a place she loves,” writes Manfrini’s business partner James Colston on Instagram.

    Turkey has attacked PKK targets in Syria and northern Iraq after the terrorist attack in Ankara, Reuters reports.

    More than 30 targets have been hit in the airstrike, Turkey’s defense minister says, according to the state news agency Anadolu.

    The American actor Ron Ely is dead, his daughter tells Fox News.

    Ely is best known for starring in the NBC series “Tarzan” which ran from 1966 to 1968.

    He lived to be 86 years old.

    An 18-year-old man was found stabbed to death in Landskrona on Wednesday evening.

    The police were alerted at 21:39 and have started a preliminary investigation into attempted murder.

    The young man was taken to hospital by ambulance.

    – He has stab wounds in various parts of the body, says Filip Annas, press spokesperson at the police’s regional command center.

  • Power outage in Stockholm

    A power outage occurred on Wednesday evening in Skärholmen and Vårberg in southern Stockholm.

    According to Ellevio, it started at 21:26 and affected a maximum of 3,205 electricity customers. The cause was a fault in a cable.

    The power was back on at 10:48 p.m.

  • Man arrested for murder

    A man has been arrested in Lidköping on suspicion of a murder on March 20, 2022, the police say.

    On the same day, Linus Bergh, who had previously been expelled from the Hells Angels, was murdered.

    He was then shot dead in an industrial premises in Lidköping.

    The Left Party excludes Kristofer Lundberg, chairman of the party’s local association in Angered, deputy party secretary Maria Forsberg tells TT.

    She says that the party board made a collective assessment and that Kristofer Lundberg through his actions has created a great deal of uncertainty about what the Left Party stands for.

    Kristofer Lundberg has, among other things, expressed support for the terrorist-classified Palestinian PFLP.

    Earlier in October, the party’s executive committee initiated an expulsion case against him.

  • Details: Foodorabud robbed

    A person who was supposed to deliver food to an address in Sundbyberg, north of Stockholm, has been robbed.

    According to Aftonbladet’s information, the person works as a courier for the delivery company Foodora.

    Several unknown perpetrators have forcibly taken the person’s phone.

    When the alarm came in, the courier had had to borrow another person’s mobile phone in order to alert the police.

    The police are investigating the incident as a robbery.

    Just before 6 p.m., the police were alerted about a boy who had been found injured in central Eslöv.

    – He has been injured by a sharp object. We do not know what type of object it is, says police spokesperson Filip Annas.

    The teenage boy has been taken to hospital by ambulance. The extent of the damage is unclear.

    The suspected perpetrator allegedly ran from the scene.

    – We do not know where this has happened. But we have cordoned off a large area and are searching with dog patrol.

    At 19:00, the police state that a young man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

    A woman in her 80s is suspected of being trampled to death by a cow in Godshill outside Bournemouth in England.

    Just a few days earlier, a 63-year-old man was attacked by a cow in the same place. The man managed to roll away from the animal’s stomping hooves and escaped with minor injuries.

    – I was seriously afraid that that thing would either kill me or seriously injure me, Kevin Parker told the Bournemouth Echo.

  • Suspected dangerous item at recycling centre

    The police are on site at a recycling center in Bromma to investigate a suspected dangerous object.

    – We are on site and handling it right now, says Daniel Wikdahl, the police’s press officer.

    The police were alerted to the object at 4:20 p.m.

    They have photographed the object and sent the images to the National Bomb Defense which will make an assessment of the object.

    Update:

    At 6 p.m., the police announced that The national bomb protection has taken care of the object, which turns out to be harmless.

  • Swedish woman dead in Marbella – crashed in sports car

    A Swedish woman in her 20s has died in a car accident in Marbella on October 11, the Foreign Ministry confirms.

    The woman, who is from Sundsvall, lived in Spain for some time.

    According to Spanish media, she was a passenger in a sports car that for unknown reasons crashed into the center barrier of a highway.

    The driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The Swedish woman’s life could not be saved.
