The jungle camp was in a state of emergency for two editions. In 2023, RTL will put things right again. Probably the most popular reality show in Germany is once again broadcast from its traditional habitat: Australia. The broadcaster has now announced the start of the new season.

One day longer: when does the jungle camp start in 2023?

  • On Friday the January 13, 2023 at 9:30 p.m it starts at RTL
  • This time, the station moves the end backwards. The celebrities have to one day longer stay in the camp
  • The jungle camp runs until Sunday January 29, 2023

  • Stream all seasons IBES on RTL + *

    • Another change compared to the previous editions: For the first time, Jan Köppen (Ninja Warrior) will moderate the cockroach show alongside IBES veteran Sonja Zietlow. Longtime host Daniel Hartwich announced his departure last January.

    These are the previous 12 participants for the jungle camp 2023

    The field of 12 celebrities, as always, has been filling up for a few months. The names Andrej Mangold and Lucas Cordalis were already traded in the summer. Cordalis had to cancel his participation in the last edition due to a corona infection. Here are the 12 (not yet confirmed) names for the upcoming show:

    • The participation of the star trumpeter Stefan Mross has now broken up. Nevertheless, if the other candidates confirm themselves, RTL can show a strong contingent. It is important to find a successor to Filip Pavlovic, the reigning king of the jungle.
