On Saturday evening, it was time for the fourth part of the Melodifestivalen. The big favorite in advance was Loreen with the song “Tattoo”, according to fans and gaming companies.
When it was time for the singer, a person took to the stage and the performance had to be stopped in the middle. Loreen’s team re-rigged the advanced stage set-up while the presenters had to improvise for several minutes.
SVT announces that the incident is being investigated:
“Loreen’s performance was interrupted and the television viewers did not get to experience it as it was intended. We therefore decided that she would be allowed to perform it in its entirety again,” says Melodifestivalen’s project manager Anders Wistbacka in a press release.
That she was interrupted during the contribution didn’t matter. The 39-year-old then grabbed, as expected, the first direct place to the final. The rock band Smash Into Pieces joins Loreen for the finale with the song “Six feet under”.
