The staff rage against Ikea Great frustration

Last year reported News24 that the staff at Ikea received a substantial bonus at the end of the year. A staggering SEK 3.5 billion would go to bonuses and be distributed among the company’s 165,000 employees.

But this year it looks increasingly bleak for the employees at Ikea, and those who had hoped to get a few thousand more in their wallets for Christmas may have to think again.

The staff is furious after the news

When the news reached the staff, they were both upset and frustrated.

– The prevailing feeling is great frustration. Especially that we won’t get anything this year when it’s been an incredibly tough year, says Karin Vedlin, central union coordinator for Handels at Ikeavarhusen, to Handelsnytt.

She believes that the employees had a tough year with a lot to do and that the workforce was not as large as before, which must have increased the stress among the employees.

– We have toiled, and many feel that we really deserved the bonus, says Karin Vedlin Trade news.

Therefore, Ikea’s staff will not receive a bonus this year

The reason why all staff will be without a bonus this year is because the sales did not reach the set targets.

However, Karin Vedlin believes that several employees believe that the goals were too high this year and if they had been more realistic, the employees would have received a bonus.
