Remember, in February 2022, the VGC site announced that 2K Games and the LEGO brand were collaborating together for the development of several sports games. The first, a football game, would be in production at Sumo Digital and Visual Concepts (NBA 2K), while the second would be a kart game, still with LEGO. If the first rumors pointed to an exit for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, it seems that plans have changed, since we have no record of these two games at the moment. Fortunately for VGC, a leak validates the scoop of the American site, thanks to a photo (of very poor quality) of the football game with LEGO.
This is a toy from this LEGO Games which could therefore be a collection that includes several sports games featuring LEGO. The packaging shows the character, named Finnius Dash, standing on a football pitch wearing a shark head mask, wearing Barca’s jersey, while o can also spot the 2K Games logo on the packaging. This minifigure was spotted on the LEGO certification page by 1414falconfan who shared the photo on his Instagram account and seems to indicate that the game is still in development. With the Game Awards brewing in a few days, it’s not impossible that the announcement will be made during the ceremony.
