the split screen confirmed but it will be limited

It’s a feature that everyone was waiting for: the local two-player split screen is indeed confirmed in the highly anticipated Dragon Ball Z Sparking Zero. Information that we had several days ago during our hands-on preview, but also through the latest deep dive video from the developers at Spike Chunsoft. The only problem is that this 2-player couch mode will be limited to one level, that of the Time Room. The reason given is that Sparking Zero was designed as an offline single-player and online multiplayer game. A ready-made answer which undoubtedly hides the technical limits of split screen, especially in 2024 where the game is ultra-intensive in terms of visual events. Doubling everything on a screen split in two was guaranteed to ruin the fluidity experience and spoil the party with a lousy frame rate. Something that we understand perfectly, even if we come away frustrated by this announcement.

Dragon Ball Z Sparking Zero is expected to be released on October 11, 2024 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
