The song was first uploaded online in 2004 in the hope that someone would recognize it. It has been searched for so long without success that it has been nicknamed “The Most Mysterious Song on the Internet.”
For example, the song has been listened to millions of times on YouTube. Thousands of people have discussed the origin of the song, what name it could be searched for, and who made it.
The discussion has been particularly heated discussion forum on reddit, where an attempt has been made to find the song together.
The song and its performers were finally found on Thursday, November 4, when one of the searchers got in touch with one of the band members.
The official name of the mystery song was revealed to be Subways of Your Mind. The performer is a German band called FEX, whose members Michael Hadrich, Ture Rückwardt, Norbert Ziermann and Hans-Reimer Sievers lost contact with each other when the band broke up in the 80s.
The song that spread on the Internet was recorded from the broadcast of the North German public radio company NDR. The date is estimated to be the beginning of the 1980s.
The song was played on Thursday for the first time in almost 40 years on the NDR radio channel, when Hädrich, Rückwardt and Ziermann met each other again thanks to the internet phenomenon.
The band is planning to re-release the song
Drummer Sievers stepped forward later. He saw In an interview with NDR video of his bandmates playing the song. At first, Sievers couldn’t believe what he saw.

– I would just like to make a little noise with my colleagues again. It would be really fun, he says.
The band has planned to release the song again.
