The song in Reddingtons final scene has the answer to

Warning, spoilers for the end of The Blacklist! For ten years, The Blacklist has fooled us. Even the finale cannot fail to leave a big question mark on our foreheads: Was Red’s death really an accident? We have the answer.

This article clarifies the three biggest questions at the end of The Blacklist ultimate on:

  • Is Reddington himself blacklisted?
  • Why does Reddington die at the end of The Blacklist?
  • Who Was Raymond Reddington Really?
  • The ending of The Blacklist in season 10 explained: Red is blacklisted himself

The title of the last episode of The Blacklist already suggested it. The series finale is called Raymond Reddington (No. 00): Good Night and Reddington bids farewell to the living. In the 22nd episode of season 10, the task force around their boss Agent Cooper (Harry Lennix) Raymond Reddington is hot on their heels.

Appropriately, after 10 years, the FBI Task Force’s final assignment is, to track down the creator of the blacklist: Reddington himself. The series answers a question that many fans asked themselves from the start: Is Reddington himself on the black list he created?

Since Reddington is number 0, he is subsequently cheated on the list. Number 1 has already been snapped up by Elizabeth Keen. That he himself in a way towers above its own list out of competitionbut is a fitting conclusion.

Reddington’s death at the end of The Blacklist explained: The song confirms it was not an accident

Some fans disliked the abrupt end of The Blacklist series. While fleeing, Reddington is run over by a bull in a sun-drenched field in Spain – and killed. Some dismissed it as a pun: A bull sees editor. stayed for many The biggest question left unanswered at the end: Was the death an accident?

Still others recognized the poetry in it: Reddington, the great speaker, doesn’t say a single word in his last few minutes of the series. He agrees to his farewell. He drinks wine and examines a bull skin. He stumbles through the hot Andalusia and consciously goes in search of an equal opponent who is just as angry and free as himself. The bull, who cannot help but attack everyone who opposes him.

Realizing there was no escape, Reddington chose a death that seemed fitting for himself. The song in the very last scene, The Blacklist, makes this very clear.

As the camera flies over Reddington’s body on the Andalusian prairies, one rolls Spanish cover version of Frank Sinatra’s My Wayin German My way. Reddington chose his end as well as his path in life.

Reddington’s identity explained in The Blacklist: Red is Liz’s mother

Even if it was not specifically stated, it has been clear since the Season 8 finale at the latest that Reddington is Liz’ biological mother. This Redarina theory, which is controversial among fans, remains the only logical explanation in the end.

That Red is Liz’s biological father was already ruled out at the beginning of the series. In the season 8 finale, Red takes Liz to the origins of his empire in a secret bunker. There he tells her its story as the story of Katarina RostovaLiz’s mother.

We get the final confirmation of the Redarina theory in the series finale of The Blacklist. Again, it’s just a nod to the fans, but we know. In said scene, Agnes nags that herself her grandpa Reddington behaved like a mother and Red replies that there’s probably nothing he can do about it.
