After relaunching the brand Solexthrough a range of electrically assisted bicycles, the group easy bike announces the launch next year of a fully electric moped, worthy heir to the mythical VéloSoleX.
After several bikes stamped Solex, it is now an electric moped that Easybike is about to present. This new electric VéloSoleX will be manufactured largely in France, in collaboration with Valeo for the engine, all designed by the famous Italian designer Pininfarina. No technical characteristics or performances have yet been communicated. Only an image of the project has so far been unveiled.
Besides electrification, the big notable difference with the mythical Solex will be the price. This new model will be sold for 4,599 euros, far from being a popular model, accessible to all. A rental system will always be offered between 100 and 130 euros per month, maintenance and repairs included.
The new VéloSoleX should be unveiled in July, during Pro-Days, a Parisian fair dedicated to cycling professionals. Its commercialization is scheduled for 2023. Produced between 1946 and 1988, the VéloSoleX has sold more than 8 million copies worldwide.
