After Ebba Östlin (S) was voted out in Botkyrka, the party started an investigation.
It now shows that the party has not been infiltrated by gang criminals in the area.
On January 30, Aftonbladet was able to reveal that Ebba Östlin (S), former chairman of Botkyrka’s municipal board, was voted out in what was described as a coup-like form, in which several new members participated, at least one of whom had connections to gang crime and the Vårby network.
After that, the party started an investigation to get to the bottom of the information. On Monday, the party announced that they had not been infiltrated by gang criminals.
“The party district has not found any evidence or indications that the Social Democrats in Botkyrka were infiltrated or taken over by gang criminals,” the party writes in a press release.
Earlier in the day, the Social Democrats announced that Ebba Östlin had left her post as chairman.
“My call to the board is now to work for unification of the party. We have an obligation towards Botkyrka’s residents to take responsibility for the challenges we face. We must have great respect for the trust placed in us by our voters. WE owe them a stable, transparent and safe management,” she writes.
