Magdalena Andersson roars at her antagonists.

In Sveriges Radio’s party leader interview, she gets really angry when she is asked about the property tax.

– It is completely absurd that the Moderates are running a campaign about this.

On Tuesday morning, it was time for the Prime Minister to be questioned in the Radiohuset at Gärdet in Stockholm.

The Social Democrats’ party leader Magdalena Andersson was asked early in Sveriges Radio’s interview about the property tax – and then things heated up.

The S leader believes that “it is completely absurd that the Moderates are running a campaign about this”.

– We have been in government for eight years, they have raised this issue in 2014, 2018 and now 2022. We have not reintroduced the property tax and have no plans or proposals to do so. To run this for the third time in a row, it breathes a bit of desperation, Magdalena Andersson answered live.

SR: Do you promise not to touch the property tax during a new mandate?

– For several years, we have cooperated with the Left Party, which wanted to introduce a property tax, but we have not done so. We have shown that we do not want to touch it. We social democrats will not go to the polls to reintroduce property tax.

But she could not promise that the treasure will not be touched.

– I will get a thousand questions about what I can promise. These are relevant questions, I understand that they are asked. I know what I think, there is no doubt about it. But if I start putting out lots of red lines, then I risk creating deadlocks after the election as we risk having a very uncertain parliamentary situation.
