LP Kangasala will not give up the fight for the women’s volleyball championship. At home, Kangasala won Kuusamo 3–1 (23–25, 25–18, 25–15, 25–16) and evened out the match wins to 3–3. The decisive seventh match will be played on Sunday in Kuusamo.
The number one passer in Kuusamo Jalissa Trotter was on the sidelines for the second consecutive match and the team has lost both games. Kangasala was a clearly better team on Friday night.
The last batch was under Kangasala’s control for a long time, but in the end Kuusamo turned the batch to himself 25–23. In the second set, the home team Kangasala held the lead until the end and took the set 25–18.
The match was getting stronger under Kangasala’s command. The third installment ended at 25-15 and the fourth at 25-16.
LP Kangasalan Emmi Riikilä (20 / + 12) defended the balls well in the game and played a strong game as a whole. Also Ronja Heikkiniemi (15 / + 13), Gabriela Da Silva (18 / + 7) and Roosa Laakkonen (14 / + 11) were effective.
