The first of twelve has had to leave “Masked Singer Sweden”.
The snowman will be the one who goes out first – and who gets to take off his mask.
– Here we have him, one of the world’s best footballers, says host David Hellenius.
A new season of “Masked Singer Sweden” is underway. It will be the fourth in a row and, just like in previous seasons, we see Pernilla Wahlgren, Felix Herngren, Måns Zelmerlöw and Nour El Refai take their place on the panel.
With 14 correct, Pernilla Wahlgren is unchallenged first in the battle for who can figure out who hides behind the masks the most times. But in the season premiere, it’s someone other than her who shines.
Will have to take off the mask first
The first to have to take off his mask is the Snowman. Måns Zelmerlöw guesses that it is football legend Tomas Brolin who is hiding in the mask – and it turns out that he is right. From him comes a roar of joy before he flies onto the stage to hug Tomas Brolin.
– Here we have him, one of the world’s best footballers, says David Hellenius.
Singing on stage is far from Tomas Brolin’s arena.
– I have never sung, I skipped music lessons, he says.
– When you turn 50, you think more about yourself and don’t care so much about what others think. I’ve never done that during my career either, but I’ve always been brave in some way, I think.

The snowman sings Hello my winterland by Carola
That’s why Tomas Brolin appears in Masked Singer
But how is it then that he chose to participate in the program?
– I ask myself that too. But I have to do a little more stuff outside my comfort zone. My family and friends won’t believe I’m here, they’ll probably think it’s a doppelganger standing here, says Tomas.
– It’s just as well to pull the patch off properly when you have to do it anyway, he continues.
His great passion for Christmas is why he was a snowman.
– Those of you who follow me on Instagram know that I love Christmas, he says.
