In Hong Kong, the universe of the kingdom of Arendelle “The World of Frozen” was inaugurated at the end of 2023. And in France? Elsa and Anna will soon have an area dedicated to them in the famous Parisian theme park. All the snowy information to discover.
Attention fans of Elsa, Anna, Olaf and Kristoff! The characters of Frozen will once again experience their hours of glory. After two global successes in 2013 and 2019, a third part of the film was announced by Disney studios, for a release planned for 2026. But until then, fans will be able to rediscover the universe of the kingdom of Arendelle in a completely new area, at Disneyland Paris. This snowy universe should look a lot like “The World of Frozen” zone which was inaugurated on November 20, 2023 in the Hong Kong amusement park, on Lantau Island. And that’s no small thing: it’s the largest themed area in the world dedicated to the Snow Queen.
We find, through the sumptuous settings, the bay of Arendelle and the Northern Mountains, the one where Elsa flees to build her ice palace. An interactive show allows visitors to be directly involved in the story through the “Playhouse in the Woods”. Also on the program, a musical boat ride through Elsa’s Ice Palace as well as a roller coaster that takes visitors into the Arendelle forest, aboard Kristoff’s sleigh. Snow-themed catering and hotels are of course available to fans of Elsa and Anna.
In France, an area dedicated to the Snow Queen should also see the light of day. On September 9, the Disneyland Paris park published a video showing the first images of the kingdom of Arendelle, currently under construction. Young and old will be able to discover two shops and a restaurant (a fast food restaurant with 250 seats), as well as Elsa’s majestic castle. It will be possible to meet your favorite characters to immortalize this moment in photos, and test a brand new attraction in this highly anticipated area, which will take place at Walt Disney Studios park.
If the amusement park does not tell us more about this new major project, certain media such as OutsidEars and Walt Disney World News Today provide some information about the area’s flagship attraction. It could in fact be the same type of water attraction as in Hong Kong, namely the Frozen Ever After. Visitors would then be invited to board a boat to relive the adventures of the Arendelle sisters through various cult scenes from the film. As with the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, participants might be surprised by a few waterfalls.
While waiting for the opening of this new area which is not planned before 2025, remember that Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Sven and Olaf can be found on stage, in the Walt Disney Studios park through a frosty show. Children and adults will be welcome to sing “Liberated, Delivered” together!
