The snowy weather continues to hold parts of Sweden in its grip – not least in the areas around Skellefteå and Robertsfors, where SMHI has issued an orange warning for snow and wind.
“It can be very difficult to get around in traffic due to snow on the roads, traffic accidents or stationary vehicles. Even important social functions such as snow removal and rescue services can have difficulty getting around,” writes meteorologist Christopher Greenland on SMHI’s website.
A yellow warning has been issued for Västerbotten’s coastal region. The same applies to Skåne and Blekinge, where the snow is expected to move into the afternoon. According to the warning, there may be “abundant” snowfall and flags are also flagged here for traffic problems with the risk of accidents.
