Östersund leaves the jumbo spot • All goals from tonight’s matches • Position in the table

AIK won the third Stockholm derby this season, in a match with several talking heads. Ten miles to the west, in Västerås, Östersund put in a strong effort when they won, which means they now leave the jumbo place.

Djurgården and AIK have each won a derby this season. In the third, it was AIK who drew the longest straw.

Several small talk marks marked the match on the court. Among other things, that Djurgården’s sporting manager Niklas Wikegård gave his comment on why they are breaking with the talent Linus Eriksson.

At the same time, the new acquisition Mattias Hävelid made his debut in the Djurgårdsträyan, and got the chance in the first back pair immediately.

Another talking point was Djurgård coach Kimby’s anger at the referees, when AIK put the “wrong” goalkeeper between the posts.

AIK had control of the match itself in terms of goals. Djurgården did not come closer than the reduction to 1-2 in the third period. The match ended 1-4 to AIK, who now lead the teams’ head-to-head meetings with 2-1 this season.

Djurgården’s loss means that they lost the league lead to Karlskoga after 35 games played. AIK key in on Mora, but are still eighth in the table.

Östersund leaves the jumbo place in the table after today’s win! Even though the team was really pressured by Västerås in the match.

Andreas Ljunggren was outstanding in goal and was noted for 36 saves for Östersund. The team scored three goals in a span of just under three minutes in the second period, setting the stage for victory. The match ended 2-4.

Västerås’ losing streak is now up to five straight games, and is falling down the table. Östersund leaves last place in the table for the first time this season.

Björklöven went on a knock in the first period against Tingsryd. It was 0-3 to the away team after 20 minutes played.

Tingsryd failed to score a single goal in the match, which ended 0-4. Tingsryd have now lost five of their last six games.

The win means that Björklöven, after three straight defeats at Bortais, finally managed to win. Löven now steps back up to third place in the table.

Highlights: Tingsryd – Björklöven

Almtuna turned around and won at home against Vimmerby. It was the away team that scored both the first and second goals in the match. Then it was Almtuna for the whole penny, at least goal-wise.

The acknowledgment came in the second period, and in the third two more goals came from Almtuna who won 4-2. Three of Almtuna’s four goals were scored in the five-on-four format.

Almtuna now moves past Västerås in the table, to ninth place. Vimmerby is now a new table jumbo.
