Here’s how to use beer as a slug trap. Choose a container. A pot of yogurt, bowl or can do the trick. Dig a small hole in the earth and place the container so that the edge is at ground level. Fill it with beer up to about half of the container. Wait until the slugs are trapped. The slugs, attracted by the smell, will fall into it and drown.
