Exit the National Assembly… and above all, goodbye to the ministry, a victory being a condition sine qua non to be kept in place.
Elected in 2017 on a territory including Massy, Palaiseau or even Chilly-Mazain, she again challenged the former president of the departmental council (2011-2015) and former deputy for the constituency, Jérôme Guedj having sat as a substitute after the entry into the Ayrault government of François Lamy. “Combative” according to her words to Le Monde, Amélie de Montchalin must indeed have been since the start of the campaign. Because on his constituency, if Emmanuel Macron has not progressed nor decreased in the votes cast between 2017 and 2022 (29.9% in 2017 against 29.86% in 2022), Jean-Luc Mélenchon, he experienced a surge spectacular (22.7% against 30.72%). All joined together, the forces of the left which today make up the Nupes even represented 41.52% of the votes cast on 10th April last.
