The couple in their 30s who have been missing in Sarek National Park are unharmed and expected to be fine.
Now the sister of the missing woman tells TV4 Nyheterna about the relief that they have been found.
– I am incredibly grateful for the police’s work, my sister’s friends have also helped a lot, says the sister.
This week, the police launched a search operation to find the couple in their 30s who were out hiking in Sarek National Park, but did not return home in time.
During Thursday, the news came that they are unharmed and doing well.
The sister: “Incredibly grateful”
The woman’s sister has not been able to speak to her sister yet, but tells TV4 Nyheterna how relieved and grateful she is that her sister and her partner are unharmed.
– I feel extremely relieved and grateful that they have been found. I don’t know how they are or why it has taken so long either. Now I’m just trying to understand what has happened, says the sister.
The sister has only been reached by the information that her sister should be fine, but hopes to speak to her as soon as possible.

Met by the police
The couple was supposed to be at home on Sunday, but never showed up. During Thursday, they got in touch with the police through a walkie-talkie and were able to alert a boat driver. The police were then alerted by the boat driver. The couple should be fine and unharmed.
– They must have taken a different route than what they originally intended, says Maria Linné, press spokesperson at the police.
The couple will now be met by the police.
