Published by infodujour.fr, this book co-authored by Marcel Gay and Jean-Marc Sabatier sets out to understand why science and medicine failed in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. Three years of investigation and an implacable conclusion: the dice were loaded.
At the start of 2020, the online media https://infodujour.fr/ and FrenchDailyNews.com asked why a virus that had come out of nowhere was keeping the scientific community in check. Why, in their laboratories, were researchers helpless in the face of this spiky, erratically behaving microbe? Why were emergency physicians in hospitals baffled by the wide variety of symptoms suffered by their Covid patients? Why didn’t they understand this disease?
Where’s the flaw?
Infodujour.fr interviewed numerous doctors and researchers around the world. They were – and still are – in the dark. Only Jean-Marc Sabatier, Director of Research at the CNRS and Doctor in Cell Biology and Microbiology, alerted the scientific community back in March 2020 to the decisive role of the dysfunctional renin-angiotensin system (RAS) in the development of Covid diseases. He has not been understood.
As for the political authorities, they are navigating in the dark, influenced by ignorant and/or corrupt scientists and a misguided media under the influence of powerful lobbies.
Why didn’t the basic science and medicine of the 21st century understand what was going on? Where is the flaw?
That’s what we set out to find out by tracing the course of events over the three years of the pandemic. This is the story of the failure of medicine and the shipwreck of science.
