What did the makers say about the Arcane Season 2 finale? In an interview with GamesRadar+, the two creators of Arcane, Alex Yee and Christian Linke, spoke about the final sentence of the series. They invested quite a lot of time into this, as Yee explains:
I just spent an insane amount of time on the last sentence of the series. It was literally 27 hours or something like that. I just sat there and tried to think: What’s the ending? How do you end a show like this?

They wanted to try to make season 2 not feel like a political statement. But that is difficult, as Linke says. It is difficult to completely separate oneself from the real world.
Linke explains why it took so long. The last sentence should also contain a personal perspective that relates to confronting impossible situations and conflicts. He also mentions his own kind of hope.
Despite the many personal stories of the characters, Arcane is, at its core, a story about inequality, military conflicts, scarcity of resources and the responsibility of technical progress. The parallels to the real world are then hard to deny.
We won’t be able to hear the last sentence, which took the makers 27 hours to write, until November 23rd, 2024, because that’s when the last 3 of the 9 episodes of the series will appear. Only 3 episodes have been released so far. In addition to Arcane, there was even a film in the League of Legends universe in the works, but nothing came of it: Riot wanted to make a film about LoL, but that failed – it still cost 4.6 million euros
