If E3 is now a thing of the past, other video game shows are doing well. After gamescom last August, the 2024 edition of the Tokyo Game Show is a great success. With 274,739 people who went to Makuhari Messe during these 4 days of festivities, the Japanese fair regained its former crowds, that of before COVID which screwed everything up. At 20,000 people later, we find the attendance records for the Tokyo Game Show 2018 and its 298,690 visitors. It was enough to hang around on social networks, and particularly Twitter (new X) to see that the Japanese public responded. In general opinion, this 2024 vintage of the TGS is a great success, both in terms of the stands offered and in the quality of the games which were also presented. One of the publishers to come back from the dead, it was certainly SNK who had a massive stand, with a Fatal Fury City of the Wolves corner particularly impressive. We feel that Saudi Arabia is financing the Osaka studio without any limits. Jeuxactu was not there yet this year, but we will do everything possible to get there next year.

– TGS 2018: 298,690 visitors
– TGS 2019: 262,076 visitors
– TGS 2022: 138,192 visitors
– TGS 2023: 243,238 visitors

Note that the next TOKYO GAME SHOW 2025 will take place from September 25 (Thursday) to September 28 (Sunday) 2025, still at Makuhari Messe.
