The shooting queen lowered Norway – Japan further

Miyazawa punctuated the game in the 81st minute.

The 23-year-old received a nice ball from deep and safely slotted the decisive 3-1 goal behind Aurora Mikalsen in the Norwegian goal.

The finish was Miyazawa’s fifth in the championship, no one else has done more.

Early in the second half, the Japanese scored their second goal of the game to take a 2–1 lead after a goal by Risa Shimizu.

Norway’s Vilde Bøe Risa hit the ball right into the gap for Shimizu, who sent the ball into the back of the net from close range.

The invitation of Bøe Risa was not the only one from Norway in the match as Ingrid Syrstad Engen was noted for the first goal of the match, when she steered the ball into her own box.

Guro Reiten headed in Norway’s 1–1 equalizer midway through the first half.

Japan was the best nation in the group stage in terms of points (full pot) and goal difference (11–0), and continues to show class in the tournament.

The winner of the meeting between Sweden and the USA now awaits in the quarter-finals.
