The shooter’s last words before he shot the mother

This week, the trial started against the now 17-year-old boy who is charged with the brutal and reckless shootings in Västberga and Tullinge last October. A 15-year-old boy, suspected of inciting murder, and a 16-year-old girl suspected of aiding and abetting murder are among the co-defendants.

When the trial began, an uproar broke out in the district court after one of the defendants mocked the victims’ relatives.

According to the indictment, the 17-year-old, who was 16 at the time of the crime, must have been the shooter in both incidents and planned the attacks from inside an HVB residence.

The mother was heard in court

In Västberga, a father of a small child was shot dead in his villa, and the mother of the family received life-threatening injuries. She was holding one of her two children in her arms when she was shot.

On Wednesday, the mother was heard during the trial.

The 16-year-old shooter asked her to turn around before he fired the shots, the prosecutor’s assistant, Rebecka Lewis tells TV4 Nyheterna.

The child was also injured. In her arms, the small child held a Nalleh Pooh stuffed toy that was shot through.

Among other things, she described the father who was shot to death as a loving and present family man, says Rebecka Lewis.

– It has been a nightmare for the family, says Rebecka Lewis.

– It is a completely innocent family that happened to have the same last name as a criminal. They have no connection to gang criminals at all, she continues.

Rebecka Lewis says that the mother worked as a doctor in conflict areas, and has herself helped vulnerable women whose husbands have been killed.

Now she has found herself in such a situation.

“Huge trauma for the children”

Rebecka Lewis adds that it has been a huge trauma for the children to lose their father.

– They have fundamentally changed.

The motive behind the shootings is not entirely clear. But according to police and prosecutors, it is believed to be part of the internal conflict in Foxtrot.

– It is a brutality that we have not seen before in Sweden. Where the suspects are also young teenagers. It is a very sad development.
