The man suspected of murdering a CEO of a health insurance company is believed to have traveled to New York on a bus that left Atlanta.

This is stated by sources within the judicial system to several American media

According to CNN, police believe the man arrived in the city on November 24, ten days before the murder, and that he then checked into a hostel with a fake driver’s license.

The CEO of the American insurance company United Healthcare, Brian Thompson, was shot several times by an assailant early Thursday morning outside a hotel in Manhattan.

Surveillance footage from the scene shows that the perpetrator initially shoots Thompson from behind. Thompson was taken to hospital but his life could not be saved.

No one has been arrested yet.

During Thursday, information came that a written message on the empty sleeves is reminiscent of “Delay, Deny, Defend”, which is the title of a book from 2010. It is about what tactics insurance companies allegedly use to avoid paying out premiums.

The investigators are therefore looking more closely at whether anger after an insurance dispute could be a motive for Thompson’s murder.
