Jonna Adlerteg has charmed many in the Master of Masters.
But now the viewers rage against the way she was treated in the TV show.
“Unfair! Nothing tempting to watch the sequel now,” writes an annoyed TV viewer on Instagram.
This year’s season of the acclaimed SVT program “Master of Masters” has become very much about the phenomenon Nils van der Poel but the one who charmed the TV viewers the most is someone completely different. The gymnast Jonna Adlerteg has exceeded all expectations and impressed immensely.
Jonna’s success
Several times she has defeated van der Poel and she has become a real viewer favorite at home on the TV sofas. Most impressively, Adlerteg has been in hunter rest and grip where she swept the course with all the other men she competed against.

Jonna also broke the all-time record in grip strength and no one else in twelve years has hung for as long as she did. But in the latest episode, the shock news came when the gymnast was forced to leave the Champion of Champions.

The anger of the viewers
Adlerteg was forced into a night duel against Johan Wissman and lost out of the settlement. Thereby she also missed the final program by the smallest possible margin and afterwards it became emotional, see the video below.
– The first time that gymnastics is included in the Master of Masters, you clearly show that gymnastics is fantastic. So you are one of the best participants we have ever had in these 15 years with eight victories and so you go out on this, says the presenter Mike Leijnegard when he says goodbye to her.
– Yes… But I’ve had so much fun and I’m so impressed myself by how well it’s actually gone. I’ve always been the one to turn it on when it comes down to it, she says in the SVT program, Jonna herself says about the experience.

But Jonna Adlerteg’s exit has also sparked strong criticism of the SVT program where many viewers think it is unfair that she misses the final of Mästarnas mäster. There, above all, the branch “Sisyphus” was absolutely decisive as pure muscle power was in favor of the male participants.
“It’s a shame that Jonna got out, not her turn, she’s the best at tackling a certain other bestie. Now we know who wins. How the hell could she scratch the guys with the iron ball that was bigger than her entire body?!”, writes a viewer on Instagram.
“Would be interesting to know how much the ball of Sisyphus weighed in relation to the person’s body weight! Bet Jonna had to make a bigger effort than the others there!”, writes another.
“Is the final only for guys… So sad that the competitions were so adapted because Jonna ended up last. As she owned the boys when there were even competitions.
Jonna is a fighter,” writes a third.

In the final, van der Poel and Wissman face each other Jens Byggmark and Jorgen Brink in a fierce battle for the title. But many think that Adlerteg would have been a more worthy finalist.
“Jonna should have been in the final against Nils. Now she lost by being small and light. Nothing tempting to see the continuation now,” writes one on Instagram.
“Unfair branches! In terms of strength, the men have a clear advantage. She has beaten them in almost every branch!”, writes another.
“Abandon the night duel and let the best stay! Jonna is the second best of all time, yet she was not allowed to be in the final. Otherwise, a great program but away with the night duel just a tough and unfair end to the program,” writes a third.
