Talk about a really embarrassing mistake.
When Linköping HC all of a sudden gave attention to great rival Vita Hästen.

Although it was a long time ago that the teams played in the same series, the rivalry between the hockey clubs Linköping HC and Vita Hästen goes back many, many years. Between the cities of Linköping and Norrköping there is a strong disagreement.

That’s why it becomes so extra embarrassing when the SHL club offers such a blunder. Because on the LHC’s official website, something crazy suddenly appeared on Wednesday.
The SHL legend Mikael Johansson has stepped in as a new assistant coach for the J20 team and is presented with a new image among the leadership staff. But stupidly, someone has posted a picture of Johansson wearing a White Horse jacket, and it really stands out in the eyes of the supporters.
“Not surprised”
The picture is from last season when Johansson was an assistant coach at Vita Hästen in HockeyAllsvenskan. But probably a completely different image should have been used on the LHC website.
– At first I thought it was very unprofessional. Especially when it’s such a big rival. But I’m not surprised because I think the website is very messy in general, says the supporter and heel leader Philip Sehlstedt to Corren newspaper.
Linköping also became well aware of the mistake and acted quickly to correct the embarrassing mistake.
– All images are in a common database for the SHL and the Hockey Allsvenskan. If they have posted a picture of him, we can’t see it until we activate him in our system and sometimes we don’t even see it then. But it has to go away, I’ll fix that, says the club’s press officer Gustaf Douhan to the local paper.
All said and done, the image of Johansson in a White Hästen jacket on the leader page also disappeared and the only thing that is now visible together with his name is an empty box until further notice. Mikael Johansson played a full 15 seasons in the SHL for Djurgården during his active playing career and delivered 437 points in 582 games.
