From a thunderous start to a points drought.
The IK Oskarshamn striker is now self-critical.
– I’m careless with the puck, he tells the Barometern.
IK Oskarshamn has had a tough start to the SHL season. In the first ten games, the club from Småland has only managed two wins, one of which was on penalties. Oskarshamn is thus last in the table on five points and with five points up to HV71.
Oskarshamn’s resounding victories
The club also has a goal difference of -19 after ten rounds played. The biggest losses have come against HV71 (6-2 away), Malmö (4-1 at home, Rögle (5-2 away), Timrå (5-2 at home), Växjö (5-2 at home) and Linköping (4-1 away).

Last year, Oskarshamn finished seventh in the table and was never close to risking a negative qualification. Their incredibly weak start has therefore surprised many. However, the two victories have come against third-placed Luleå (3-2 after penalties at home) and against leading Färjestad (2-1 away).
Lodin’s self-criticism
One who, despite the club’s many early defeats, was able to produce points Viktor Lodin. The striker was able to impress in a weak Oskarshamn, scored nine points in the first six games, and took the lead in the SHL’s scoring at one point. But in the last four rounds, there has been only one point for Lodin.

Now Lodin directs harsh criticism – at himself.
– I have been useless the last three games and was not good today either. We all have to get up.
– I’m careless with the puck, which I’m not usually. It’s not the same as before anyway – and I know what I can do and I haven’t shown that lately. I have to get up, Lodin told the Barometer after the loss to the Redhawks, where he had an assist.
However, the striker is still tied for second place in the points league with his ten – two points behind first place Robin Hanzl.
