Växjö has 2-0 in the SC final against Skellefteå.
But now comes criticism of the entertainment value of the series.
“The most boring SC final in hockey history,” says Radiosport and icon Per Svartvadet.
When Växjö played away from home against Skellefteå last time, one goal was enough. Then they went back home, closed areas, and did not allow Skellefteå anything during the match. Växjö only fired one shot themselves, but no more was needed.
“Most boring ever”
They won the difficult, second match in the series with 1-0, and thus linked a big grip on the final series, where they are now 2-0 in matches. But now critical voices are being raised about how the final series actually plays out. In Radiosport’s playoff series “Nyspolat”, an episode with the title: “The most boring SC final in hockey history” was released yesterday.
It’s Magnus Wahlman and SHL icon Per Svartvadet talking about the final series, and that’s when Magnus Wahlman really sticks out his chin.
– Växjö won 1-0 in match two and now has 2-0 in the match series, and it was probably one of the most boring matches we have seen in many years, he says.

The big saw
And he is strongly supported by Per Svartvadet. At the same time as they both pay tribute to Växjö’s defensive ability, they see the entertainment value.
– Yes, says Svartvadet decisively.
– Växjö took the lead and then just shut down the entire match. They hit some sort of all-time low. They had eleven shots on goal and that is the fewest number of shots on goal a SM final team has ever had. This finale… Mm, I’m interested if it can ever take off.
However, according to Svartvadet’s data, Skellefteå can get a key player back in the next game, which can help both the team and the series to lift.
– Skellefteå is a good team and they were second in the series. Now I have received indications that Jocke Lindström will come to play in the next match. He could be the one to untie this knot. Skellefteå looks a bit blunt.
