An Israeli ship named Central Park was hijacked in the Gulf of Aden. It was stated that there were 22 multinational personnel on the ship, whose captain and fourth captain were Turkish. It was reported that the ship and personnel were rescued 15 hours later. US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that 5 armed people who attempted to seize a commercial ship in the Gulf of Aden were captured.
5 ARMED PEOPLE WERE CAUGHT
CENTCOM, in its statement on the X social media platform, stated that the commercial ship named “M/V Central Park” requested help from its forces in the fight against piracy in the Gulf of Aden yesterday.
It was stated in the statement that the destroyer named “USS Mason (DDG 87)” of the US Navy responded to Central Park’s call for help and requested the release of the ship, and that 5 armed people boarded the ship and tried to escape with a small boat.
The statement said that the gunmen in question were captured by the USS Mason destroyer, and pointed out that the Central Park ship and its crew were safe.
THEY LAUNCHED BALLISTIC MISSILES
In the statement, it was announced that 2 ballistic missiles were fired in the direction of the USS Mason and Central Park ships at around 01.41 from the regions under the control of the Houthis in Yemen, and it was shared that the ballistic missiles fell into the Gulf of Aden, 10 miles away from the ships.
