The Chinese company Shein, which sells ultra-fast fashion, sent a British girl a scorpion with a package of clothes.
A British student got more than promised from the fast fashion chain Shein’s package, when a live scorpion was hiding inside the clothing package.
– I thought it was a toy, but then it moved, Sofia Alonso-Mossinger18, said for the BBC.
According to him, the experience had been “quite scary”.
With the cooperation of fellow dormitories at the University of Bristol, the poisonous creature was caught in the bathtub. A dormmate studying zoology moved the intruder into a Tupperware plastic container with kitchen tongs and gave it water.
After a few hours, an expert from the National Center for Reptile Welfare arrived to arrest the intruder.
China’s Shein says it has conducted an internal investigation and according to it “all standard operating processes have been followed”.
Shein sells so-called ultra-fast fashion. Collections are changed very quickly according to customers’ wishes.
