Part 2 Code 8 brings the two Amell cousins together again in their old roles in the fictional Lincoln City. Here a teenager fights with special powers for justice for her murdered brother, who fell victim to corrupt police officers. As the only witness, she also ends up on the hit list and turns to Connor and Garrett for help. But the Netflix poster already reveals: “Power corrupts.”
The Canadian sci-fi film Code 8 was made in 2019 based on an acclaimed short film from 2016 (also titled Code 8). A subsequent crowdfunding campaign initiated the feature film implementation. Part 2, however, was entirely in the hands of Netflix this time.
When does the sci-fi sequel Code 8: Part II start on Netflix?
The sequel to Code 8 is scheduled for Wednesday, December February 28, 2024 to be released on Netflix. That’s almost exactly four years and one month after Code 8 was released on DVD in Germany (on January 30, 2020). The first film celebrated its premiere in October 2019 at the Sitges Film Festival.
