the sequel is confirmed Simon McQuoid back on camera

We wondered after the mixed results of the first film last year, but Mortal Kombat will indeed be entitled to a sequel. It was Deadline magazine that had the first of the information, before being taken up by other major media like The Hollywood Reporter, to then be confirmed by the actors and even Simon McQuoid, the director who will come back behind the camera if we are to believe his latest Instagram posts. Information about this sequel is scarce at the moment, we just know that the story will pick up where the events of the first film ended and that Jeremy Slater is in charge of the script. Known for having worked on the reboot of Fantastic 4 (2015) and Netflix’s Death Note, he is the one who wrote the screenplay for the next Moon Knight which will land on Disney+ on March 30. Let’s hope we get a better script this time and the fight really begins. In any case, we should see some familiar faces like Ludin Lin as Liu Kang, Lewis Tan (Cole Young), Jessica McNamee (Sonya Blade), Mehcad Brooks (Jax), but also Max Huang who should take over the role of Kung Lao who would return in a revenant version.
