Schools, hospitals, health centers, service roads, administrative buildings, modern markets and many other works… Several infrastructures will have to be built in the 145 territories. Construction should start very soon. Gathered in a seminar in Kinshasa at the initiative of the Head of Statethe provincial deputies agreed to mobilize the populations of the rural areas for the success of this ambitious program.
Out of a total budget of 1.6 billion dollars allocated to this project, each territory will have to receive around ten million, said Eddy Tambwe, the reporting secretary of the seminar. According to him, 52% of this funding comes from the government and 48% from the DRC’s traditional partners.
At the end of the work, the provincial deputies presented grievances to Prime Minister Sama Lukonde; complaints intended for the President of the Republic, in which they expose their not very rosy situation. Among the 750 provincial deputies, several hundred have not been paid for six months. They also require company vehicles.
