An 18-year-old alpine skiing promise Rosa Pohjolainen will undergo knee surgery in early May, which will keep him out of the races for about 10 months. Ski Sport Finland informs about it.

The crossroads of the Nordic generation broke in Levi in the middle of a normal turn. The Hyvinkää skier had already injured his knee a month ago at the European Youth Winter Olympics in Vuokatti. At that time, magnetic images were taken of the knee that showed no need for surgery.
Prior to his injury, Pohjolainen won the EYOF gold slalom in Vuokatti.
A Nordic person has had knee injuries in the past, but this time the sick leave is considerably longer. In January 2021, he collapsed during drills and his knee ligament and helix were damaged.
