Seagulls beat Honga and Pyrintö defeated Kouvo.
The Helsinki Seagulls rose to the top of the Korisliiga when they beat Honga on the away field. The league champions had to find the guests better, when the Seagulls won 101–78.
The people of Helsinki came to the match strong. The team’s throws found the basket right away in the first ten minutes, which was recorded for the visitors 35-15.
In between, even Honga had better moments. The Seagulls decided the match in the third period at the latest. At its maximum, the away team’s lead grew to 32 points.
Rene Rougeau threw 23 and Shawn Hopkins 16 points. Patrick Emilien was the home team’s number one with 23 points.
Pyrintö beat Kouvot away from home 91–67.
Topias Palmi oli the point king of the match with 27 points. Thomas Gipson III scored 18 points for Kouvoi.
